Magical mermaid workshops for kids
From 21 December to 13 January, let your child become a magical mermaid for the day. Classes are being held at Coogee Beach’s ocean pool from 9am to 3pm each day, with intimate groups for kids aged 7-14 years. Your water babies will learn mermaid swimming techniques, ocean rescue survival skills, underwater video and photography, synchronised mermaid performances and yoga, with creative ocean jewellery classes. Hire or buy a mermaid fin for the duration of the workshop.
Summer pop-up fun at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach
Hotel guests at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach will be able to make the most of a lazy summer pool-side, as the hotel’s pool area overlooking the beach is transformed into a oceanside pop-up hotspot. Sponsored by Lillet, the French aperitif, and Pure Blonde, the pool area will turn into an outdoor oasis, with a special dining and drinks menu where you can order straight from the pool. Available every day except Christmas Day, from 11am to 7pm.
A temporary Mojito bar will be the star attraction at Oceans dining & drinks this year, sponsored by Bacardi and Pure Blonde, to quench the summer crowd. Sip from a range of summer-inspired cocktails from the newly astro-turfed outdoor terrace, including flavoured mojitos and other rum-inspired cocktails.

Everyone is welcome at Oceans, the beachside casual dining at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach. During summer, make the most of the daily specials and Happy Hour wine and beer from 5pm to 7pm, with live entertainment on Saturday and Sunday nights.
- Monday & Tuesday: $10 steak, chips and salad
- Wednesday: $10 schnitzel, chips & salad
- Thursday: $10 pizza night + $10 selected cocktails
- Sunday: $10 mojitos all day, and $15 chicken schnitzels from 4pm
