Coogee is the perfect destination for business travel

When was the last time you scheduled a meeting with yourself?

You know YOU!

The most valuable asset of them all. David Grady, Crowne Plaza’s leading Productivity Guru has highlighted that business today is all about innovation, but you can’t innovate if your mind is focused only on inbound emails and the next conference call. While travelling on business or attending an out-of-town conference, consider disconnecting for an allotted amount of time each day.

If Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach is on your next business agenda you’re in luck with the perfect backdrop to disconnect each day and have that meeting with YOU. New sights and sounds stimulate parts of the brain that you just don’t use when you’re reviewing a spreadsheet. A change of scenery will inspire you to tackle old challenges with a new perspective, and if you indulge in a little outside-the-box exploration while you’re on the road, you’ll arrive back at work brimming with new ideas and a renewed enthusiasm for the tasks at hand.

Our Coogee Beach hotel has given you five meeting ideas with YOU and YOU only at your beach side working hub.

Paper vs Screen

Did you know that reading can relax your body by lowering your heart rate and easing the tension in your muscles?

A 2009 study at the University of Sussex found that reading can reduce stress by up to 68%. It works better and faster than other relaxation methods, such as listening to music or drinking a hot cup of tea… so grab a paperback curl up in your arm chair in your room or on your balcony listen to the waves in the background and take yourself to wherever the book takes you.

Follow the famous Bondi to Coogee coastal walk

The cliff tops of Coogee offer spectacular walking trails and some of Sydney’s most panoramic views. The six kilometres  Bondi to Coogee coastal walk winds its way from Bondi to Tamarama, Bronte and Clovelly, before finally arriving at Coogee Beach.

Swim in historic saltwater baths

Coogee is blessed with three beautiful ocean pools. At Coogee’s northern end stairs descend from Dolphin Point to Giles Baths, a natural rock pool known as the “bogey hole”. At the southern end, the coastal walk winds around to McIvers Baths, Australia’s last remaining women-only seawater pool, dating back to 1886. The baths include a sunbathing area, change rooms and clubhouse. Further south are the famous Wylies Baths. Established in the early 1900s by champion Australian long distance swimmer Henry Alexander Wylie, the baths have 180-degree views across the Pacific Ocean out to Wedding Cake Island. After a dip, enjoy an early morning yoga or Pilates class on the deck.
