Sydney knows how to celebrate!
To see Sydney really come to life, you need to be in town for a truly BIG event – the 2017 Mardi Gras, when Sydney will come out to celebrate “Creating Equality” in 2017.
The Mardi Gras Events program runs from Friday 17 February until Sunday 5 March. During this time Sydney is treated to a program of comedy, exhibitions, music, theatre, parties and community events celebrating equality and Australia’s LGBTQI culture.
The peak of Mardi Gras celebrations begin on 4 March, with the main event starting at 6pm in Taylor Square, Darlinghurst. A spectacular parade will flood the streets with life and colour.
After the parade, make your way to the LGBTQI, party of the year at Moore Parks Entertainment Quarter, starting at 10pm.
On 5 March say farewell to Mardi Gras at Laneway with the Creating Equality Event, with world class DJs, drag shows, and so much more from 2pm – 1am.
