1. Cinema under the Stars
1 December 2017 – 1 April 2018
Belvedere Amphitheatre, Centennial Park, Paddington
Summer in Sydney isn’t complete without watching a movie under the stars. Our pick is Moonlight Cinema at Centennial Park which runs throughout summer and features an incredible line up of new releases, family favourites and cult classics. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket and relax while soaking up the outdoor cinema experience. Gates open at 6:30pm and the screening starts at sundown.
2. Finders Keepers Markets
Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December 2017
The Cutaway, Barangaroo Reserve, Hickson Road, Barangaroo
For a retail experience like no other, visit the Finders Keepers Markets at Barangaroo, Sydney’s newest cultural venue. Meticulously curated, the market features over 200 stalls from independent art and design makers as well as dedicated food and beverage stalls, live music and two bars ensuring there really is something for everyone!
3. Bluemoon Seafood Experience

4. Coogee Family Fun Day

If you’re looking for fun for the whole family, then look no further than the 23rd annual 2017 Coogee Family Fun Day. Adults will enjoy browsing the food and artisan stalls that sell everything from handcrafted goods to Christmas gifts while the kids will love the carnival rides and free activities including a drumming workshop and the much loved ‘Get Wild’ reptile display. Plus there’s live entertainment and a special visit from Santa Claus!
5. Surf safari at Coogee Beach
Learn how to ‘hang ten’ with the experts at ‘Let’s Go Surfing’ who run a variety of lessons suitable for all levels – young, old, individuals and groups. The calm waves of Coogee Beach also make it a great place to learn stand up paddle boarding which you can master with a one-on-one lesson with the team at ‘Let’s Go Surfing’.
